A home away from home

The Ronald McDonald House of Springfield provides a critical link between families and essential medical care. A warm, homelike atmosphere with comfortable beds, private baths, a well-stocked kitchen and volunteers ready to support our guests, the Ronald McDonald House of Springfield features:

  • 20 guest rooms and private baths
  • 1 respite suite allowing families to rest and refresh themselves
  • A fully-stocked communal kitchen
  • Community dining area
  • Laundry room with multiple washers and dryers

Getting here

The Ronald McDonald House of Springfield provides accommodations for families receiving care at Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Baystate Hospital, and other local medical facilities.

By Air

  • Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut (24 minutes from the House).
  • Transportation to and from Bradley, Yellow Taxi 413-739-9999
  • Geraldo’s Transportation to LaGuardia Airport, New York and Logan Airport, Boston 413-739-0500

By Train

  • Amtrak has regularly scheduled trains into and out of Springfield Union Station.
  • It is best to take a taxi to and from the train station to the House, 5 minutes.

By Bus

  • Grey Hound and Peter Pan buses operate out of the Springfield Union Station and have regularly scheduled buses in and out of Springfield Union Station.
  • Transportation to and from Springfield Union Station, Yellow Taxi 413-739-9999.

Advisory Council

The Advisory Council of the Ronald McDonald House of Springfield provides ongoing support for House operations, fundraising and public awareness. The Advisory Council regularly nominates candidates for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts Board of Directors. Council members play a critical role in planning and staging events for the benefit of the House as well as supporting safety and quality improvements.
