Teen Boards
Become a student leader to support our families
Joining a Teen Board at one of our Houses is an impactful way for students and young people to become involved in community leadership. Our Teen Boards exist to serve our families, help teens gain leadership and fundraising experience, and allow students to serve as Ronald McDonald House ambassadors in their schools and communities.
The Teen Boards at our Houses in Connecticut and Springfield are made up of local students from many area high schools, and they participate in a variety of activities in support of our families, including car washes, holiday decorating, themed party planning, facility maintenance, fundraisers, crafts, and fields trips.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Students and teens who would like to join the Teen Boards at our Houses in Connecticut and Springfield should send in applications to our Houses. To be a member, teens must:
- Be a high school sophomore, junior, or senior in the communities nearby your local Ronald McDonald House
- Attend and participate in all meetings, signature events and chosen service activities between September and June
- Embrace opportunities to engage your school and community with the House or educate others about Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Maintain a good standing at school, including no substance abuse or inappropriate behavior
