Sponsor a Room

Sponsor a Room2020-01-08T19:11:31+00:00
  • Guest rooms in our Ronald McDonald Houses.

The Sponsor A Room program offers a yearlong sponsorship of one of our guest rooms or community living spaces. Sponsor A Room donors have an incredible impact on the families who find refuge at the House while their child is hospitalized or receiving care at area hospitals.

Sponsor A Room donors play a significant role in supporting the ongoing operations of the Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut and Ronald McDonald House of Springfield.  Although it costs the House $120 per night to support each family, guests are only asked to contribute $15 per night.

With substantial medical bills and travel costs, a $15 nightly room fee is simply too much for many families to afford. Our home-away-from-home is always available to every family that walks through our doors and no family is ever turned away due to inability to pay.

Your generous contribution helps to underwrite the cost of their stay, enabling us to serve all families, regardless of their financial situation or background. Your gift gives parents the ability to focus on the most important thing—the wellbeing of their child.

Benefits of Sponsorship

We are proud to recognize Sponsor A Room sponsors with the following benefits:

  • Signage inside the room you sponsor with your name, which will welcome and be seen by every family who uses the room.
  • Recognition on our website.
  • House photos, information and logo (pending approval) to include in your newsletters or public relations materials.
  • First right of renewal each year.

Benefits and recognition extend 12 months immediately following payment.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The Sponsor A Room program offers various giving levels designed to be inclusive of individual family contributions, small businesses and large corporations.

Guest Room Sponsor – $5,000
Sponsor one of our 43 standard guest rooms with a $5,000 annual gift to either House. Your contribution supports a hotel-style guest room with 2 full beds, dressers, and private bath for families throughout the year.

While staying at the House families have access to regular meals, pantry items, laundry facilities, play areas, comfortable common spaces, transportation to and from the hospital, as well as support from staff and volunteers.

Connecticut Respite Room Sponsor—$5,000
Sponsor one of our 2 Connecticut Respite Rooms with a $5,000 annual gift. Your contribution supports families that need a quiet place to rest, refresh and rejuvenate for just a few hours a day. Families do not require overnight accommodations but can benefit from all the services the House has to offer-access to a community kitchen, dining room, living room and outdoor/indoor play areas. The respite room holds a twin bed, private bathroom and recliner to offer families a short term ability to recharge before heading back to the hospital.

Springfield Respite Suite Sponsor—$5,000
Sponsor our Springfield Respite Suite with a $5,000 annual gift. Your contribution supports families that need a quiet place to rest, refresh and rejuvenate for just a few hours a day. Families do not require overnight accommodations but can benefit from all the services the House has to offer-access to a community kitchen, dining room, living room and outdoor/indoor play areas. The respite suite boasts a full bed, private bathroom, eating area and living room set to offer families a short term ability to recharge before heading back to the hospital.

Kitchen Sponsor—$12,000 per year or $1,000 a month
Sponsor one of our two community kitchen spaces with a $12,000 annual gift or $1,000 monthly gift. Each year we serve over 40,000 meals to families who call the House their home while caring for their seriously ill or injured child. Each communal kitchen is open 24-hours a day and is fully stocked with staple food items, snacks and coffee for families to access throughout their stay. Each kitchen is equipped with a pantry for families to store their own groceries, in addition to meals that the House provides through volunteer support. The kitchen is a place where families naturally connect to one another and find support over shared experiences.

“When I made the arrangements via phone, I was expecting beds and a shower.

What we got was so much more! So, may I formally thank you for:

  • A wonderful, caring, and friendly staff
  • A full kitchen, community pantry and fridge, and an ever supply of snacks
  • Lovely foam mattresses to rest our very tired heads at night
  • Communal living and dining areas where we have made life-long friendships formed through collective struggle
  • Bingo games to divert our attention for a couple blissful hours
  • The lovely artwork that softens our day

And everything else that makes this place a God-send. “
