For over 20 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts has been investing in children’s futures. With Houses that provide a ‘home-away-from-home’ and grants for non-profit organizations that help children reach their fullest potential, we strive to provide comfort, compassion and community in everything that we do.

The Mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts is to create, identify and support programs that directly improve the health, education and well-being of children and families in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts, including operating its cornerstone programs, the Ronald McDonald House of New Haven Connecticut and the Ronald McDonald House of Springfield Massachusetts.

Our Vision is to improve the lives of children through assessing the unmet health and education needs of the communities we serve and supporting relevant and sustainable programs throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.

Our Ronald McDonald Houses are key to helping families through the most difficult and traumatic times of their lives. Providing a “Home Away from Home” for thousands of families requires donations and volunteer assistance by many, many people. Raising funds is key to maintaining our Houses and providing families with food, shelter and all the amenities  which our Houses provide. The canisters at McDonald’s restaurants provide a great base of funding. The bulk of our funding comes from the generosity of other donors .

Health and Safety Notice

Our most important priority is to keep our guests safe while their children are in local hospitals. Based on current information from the World Health Organization and following our infectious disease policies, we are taking a cautious approach to coronavirus.

Until further notice, we will screen all individuals that wish to be involved with our Houses programs – this includes anyone seeking to stay at the House, as well as visitors, volunteers, donors, staff and vendors entering House facilities.

If you answer yes to either of the below questions, we ask that you postpone your visit to the House until further notice.

  1. Have you recently traveled to China, Italy, South Korea, Iran, Japan, or any other countries indicated by the CDC as Warning Level 3 or Alert Level 2?
  2. Have you knowingly had contact with anyone who has recently returned from one of the above countries/categories?

Also, if you are experiencing any flu like symptoms, including fever, coughing, or other respiratory concerns, we ask that you postpone your visit to the House.

If you have any questions, please contact Michelle D’Amore at 203-777-5683.
