Capital Campaign Update

On the Move…. “Building Hope”

The Campaign to build a new Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut

Sometimes fundraising becomes something more. Something bigger. Something that will make a difference. Something that you can personally embrace.

The new Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut that is about to be completed is just that and more.

We are only weeks away from opening our doors to the next generation of children and families who will need a comfortable bed and a warm home-like environment with private baths, and a well-stocked kitchen to get them through the unimaginable uncertainties and challenges that each day brings when a life-threatening illness or injury strikes.

Our Capital Campaign to “Build Hope” is about to close and we need our community to help us reach our $5 million goal. With so much at stake, David Fusco and Larry Lazaroff, our Co-Chairs for the Campaign want to encourage our community, and our friends, neighbors, and colleagues to take a moment, if you have not done so already, to make a gift to help us complete our goal. The investment you make today will keep our families close and provide hope for children for the decades to come.

If you have already made a gift, we sincerely thank you for your support. If your finances permit, please consider giving an additional gift. If you have not given; we are hopeful that you will join the almost 1,000 other donors from our community to help us build a new Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut.

We have added two special fundraising programs to our Campaign. There will be a Healing Entrance Walkway to our new House that will have personalized pavers embedded to welcome all visitors and the children and families served. What a wonderful way to leave a lasting legacy of hope, love and compassion for them. Select from one of two paver sizes: our 4”X 8” paver is $500; our 8” X 8” paver is $1,000. Our “Fill Our House” program provides the furniture and furnishings necessary to give our families all the comforts of home while they are coping with the long very tedious days at the hospital. We need funds to purchase beds, linens, pillows, sofas, dining tables, chairs, dinnerware, televisions, computers, lamps … A gift helps us make our house a home.
