Get Involved 2017-09-04T17:19:09+00:00

Volunteers are a big part of “The House That Love Built ®” Without them, we would not be able to provide all of the assistance to families who stay with us. Volunteers can have regular shifts at the House. By sharing your special talents, or just being there to tend to families’ needs, answer phones, or take messages, you will make a difference. Right now we have a particular need for volunteers for evenings, weekends and some shifts during the week.

Get your Business Involved

You or your business may be able to provide specialized services for the House. Whether you’re an expert in computers, data entry, or general fix-it duties, we can always use a pair of hands.

Committees You Can Join

With many activities to service our families and raise funds, there is always work to do. Please call if you have an interest in serving on one of our committees. They are: Public speaking; fundraising; special events; newsletter; volunteer committee; Pop Tabs; Lights of Love; Bricks campaign;  Holiday Cards and many more opportunities.

Teen Board Volunteers

Teen Board volunteers help make our House possible. Our Teen Board members play a valuable role collecting food and paper products, raising public awareness and organizing fund raisers. In addition, they perform reception and clerical duties, cook meals, decorate, organize social activities, and are coached in the art of public speaking and fund raising. With well-planned bylaws, good leadership and consistent supervision, youth are priceless. Join the Teen Board.

Cooking For Families

If your club, organization, religious group, or family is looking for an outreach project, cooking a meal for our families is always a treat. Baking at the House or at home and bringing it to the House, or preparing a meal or dessert is a much appreciated service. Become a Guest Chef  for our families.

Going to the House and feeling like you are contributing to the very essence of people's life's who have been altered due to health problems and seeing with your very eyes how much faith and strength is in these people, has not only humbled me but also has made me more aware of how fortunate we are to be able to share our time with those in need.
