Capital Campaign Update

Thermometer FEBRUARY 2017

The Capital Campaign and Construction of the new Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut are going along with great success as we continue to reach out to the community for gifts to help us in “Building Hope”. Please take a look at our progress by viewing the video with this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHrs_mc09t4 or on our website www.rmhc-ctma.org.

“We are deeply grateful for the tremendous reception we have received from the community to build our new House” stated Dave Fusco and Larry Lazaroff, Co-Chairs of the Capital Campaign “and are pleased to announce that we have raised $4.8 million towards our $5 million goal.  We want to especially thank our McDonald’s Owner Operators of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts for their recent $1 million Challenge Grant that has fired the campaign to help us complete our fundraising goal.  For every new gift and/or pledge towards our Capital Campaign, our McDonald’s Owner Operators will match each gift dollar for dollar up to $1 million.  David and Larry added, “Every gift is important and will make a difference for our children and families”.

As we work diligently to raise the funds needed to complete the Capital Campaign, we have started two additional fundraising efforts to engage our community for the Campaign.

We are offering donors a special opportunity to leave and enduring mark on the history of our new House by making a donation for a paver to help us “Build Hope”. Your personalized paver will be embedded in our new Entrance “Healing Walkway” which will greet every family as they enter our beautiful new Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut. What a great way to honor a loved one, pay tribute to a friend or colleague or mark the history of your business, organization, school or profession and be a lasting legacy of hope, love and compassion to the children and families served by the Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut. A 4”X8” paver is $500 and an 8”X8” paver is $1,000.

Donors can also support our need to raise funds to help us purchase furniture and furnishings for the new House. Our “Fill Our House Campaign” has just begun and we have received over $40,000 towards our goal of $300,000 for this special project.

Your gift will provide us the resources to make our House feel like home to all who enter. Each item, beds, pillows, bedding, sofas, dining tables, chairs, TV’s, desks, lamps will provide comfort and aid in the healing process.

Please take a moment today to help us in “Building Hope”. The investment you make today will keep families together and provide hope and healing for children and their families in the decades to come.

To contribute, please send your gift to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts, Capital Campaign Office, 501 George Street, New Haven, CT 06511.
